Lost Childhood Object
For our 4D class, we were paired in groups of two and had to each describe a childhood item we had since lost or no longer used. This seemed like a very interesting idea to me, as I never thought much about missing items from my childhood. I also was very intrigued by the idea of recreating another person’s object and getting as close as possible with just their description. I ended up being tasked with creating a Webkins plush of a gecko, who was named “Geico” after the iconic commercials. After having completed the recreation of Geico, I’m very pleased with my resourcefulness for his green color. The plush was described as having furry fabric for his green top, so I used some shredded paper grass and glued it to the stuffed base. I believe my attention to detail as a whole was very successful, as the elements like side eyes, Webkins logo on his right paw, and a roughly 12-inch length were faithfully replicated.
